Kadhi Bari Recipe

 



Kadhi Bari is a delicious add on made for lunch Or dinner and can be served with plain or jeera rice. 


Ingredients:-

1. 1 tablespoon gram flour

2. 1 cup yogurt

3. 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste

4.  1 teaspoon black pepper powder

5. 1 teaspoon cumin seeds

6. 1 teaspoon red chilli powder

7. 2 red chilli

8. 1 tablespoon turmeric

9. 1 medium sized finely chopped onion

10. ⅓ of a teaspoon cooking soda

11. Cooking oil

12. Salt to taste

Preparation Time:50 minutes


Method:-

1. For making the bari, in a bowl add : 2 ½ tablespoon gram flour + chopped onion + ½ of a tablespoon turmeric + salt + red chilli powder + cooking soda. 


2. Mix them evenly using water to create a soft mixture. 


3. Take a pan and heat oil in it. Take small portions of the created mixture and drop them into the oil. Deep - fry until golden brown. Drain the excess oil and put them aside. 


4. For the kadhi, in a bowl add : 1 cup yogurt+ ½ tablespoon gram flour + ginger garlic paste + red chilli powder + black pepper powder + ½ tablespoon turmeric + salt. Add water and whisk everything well. 


5. Heat a pan on medium flame. Add oil. When the oil is hot add cumin seeds and saute for a few seconds. 


6. Add red chillies + onion and a little bit of salt and saute till onions are golden. 


7. Now add the yogurt mixture to the pan. Cook for 18-20 minutes. 


8. Stir it continuously so that no lump is left. 


9. Place the bari on a bowl and pour the kadhi on top of it. Serve hot.
