Rice Water Benefits

 We often overlook the basic things present in our kitchen - especially when it comes to beauty.  We are always attracted to the glamorous market materials. 


Take rice water as an example. Most of the time we throw away the water after washing rice. But that starchy water is a solution to many skin care woes. That starchy water has been a part of many Korean and Japanese beauty cultures for ages. 


METHOD:-

1. Take some uncooked rice and soak it in water for about 3 to 4 hours. Soaking it overnight would be most beneficial. 



2. Drain the water and apply it on your face using a cotton ball. 


Let it stay on your face for a minimum of about 30 minutes. And always apply it on a clean face. You can also store it in the refrigerator upto 4 days. 


Rice water can be used for cleansing, toning and lightening hyperpigmentation ,  sun and age spots. Helping with smoothie texture, hyperpigmentation, rice water also illuminates, firms and tightens skin to appear refreshed and reduces pore size leaving soft skin behind. 


Rice water is also good for acne since it reduces redness and clear blemishes, and the starch present in it is said to soothe the inflammation of eczema. 


Rice contains natural antioxidants like Vitamin C, Vitamin A, phenolic compounds, which minimizes free radical damage from age, sun and environment.
