Dal Fry Recipe
We Indians consume dal everyday. Also pulses are packed with high amount of protein. So, it is also healthy and delicious at the same time.
Ingredients:-
1. 1 cup moong dal
2. 3 cups water
3. ½ teaspoon turmeric
4. ¾ teaspoon salt
5. 2 small sized finely chopped tomatoes ( I used this)
6. 1 medium sized finely chopped onion
7. 3 half slit green chili
8. A pinch of cumin seeds
9. 2 tablespoon of cooking oil
Method:-
1. Rinse the dal under running tap water.
2. In a pressure cooker add dal + water + turmeric + salt and stir it well.
3. On a medium flame cook it for 4-5 minutes.
4. Take a pan and heat oil on it on medium flame.
5. Once hot put the cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
6. Now add green chilli and saute for few seconds.
7. Now add tomatoes. Cool them for few seconds and add the onion and a little of salt to fasten the cooking.
8. Cook until the onion turns light brown and tomatoes get soft.
9. Now transfer the boiled dal to the pan and mix well .
10. Let it cook for 3-4 minutes.
11. You can garnish it with green chili and coriander leaves.
